I have to say that I was looking forward to the new desktop software. Having just installed it, the Toodledo sync is completely broken (fine on 1.51) - I downgraded and it has messed up my 1.51 version now. All you get is a meaningless error saying "The following error was encountered when trying to sync:" - not helpful.
I am now stuck with a useless version that won't sync and a broken previous version.
This is just another step in my move away from this product - much as I like the interfaces on Windows and Android the support and upgrades are just not good enough to be reliable and I have already moved elements of my task tracking to other products which are much more stable (although lose something in fucntionality).
This is the final straw for me I am afraid having used Due Today for some time - it's just not reliable or stable enough to be used seriously.

Have gone back to Version 1.41 - that works - whatever the upgrade did was pretty severe in taking out the previous version too. I used regedit and cleared the registry but even that didn't work. Version 1.41 at least syncs (but gave me duplicates!!) If this was Twitter I would put #whateverhappenedtotesting

Try to delete the desktop version. Then search for %appdata% on your desktop pc. Delete the Due Today files or move those to another folder and install the desktop version again. Then try syncing again.

You can also try the reset sync data button in settings.

Thanks - did all that and have got back to 1.51 but will not attempt to upgrade. The databse was huge and Due Today kept crashing because of that - logging into Toodle do showed it was replicating entries up to 12 times causing the large size and issue. Have spent severl hours sorting today but not sure how stable it now is.

By the way, the reset button just seems to create more duplicates in Toodle do.

Did you try to sync with Due Today sync? Or do you need ToodleDo?
