What does Assign To do? It does not show any options when I select it. I get a dialog Assigned To with Cancel and Save options.

In the Settings Menu under "Lists", if you check the box for "Team" then you can create team members under the "Team" heading from the main menu.
I'm guessing that you see no options for assigning the task because you haven't created any team members?
Once you have team members created, then a task can be assigned to one of them. After you assign a task to a team member, a team icon will appear next to the task in the list and the task status will change to "Delegated".
Also, any tasks you've assigned to team members will be grouped under their name in the "Team" heading from the main menu.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help. Followed your setup and all works as you said until I sync. The task status remains delegated but the team member disappears from the task, team icon no longer in list, and task is no longer under name in Team list. Did I miss something?

Sorry, I don't know anything about sync issues. You'll have to wait for Chris on that one.
I would post which sync method you're using though because some things are Toodledo sync specific problems and he always seems to ask.
Good Luck

After the first sync with Toodledo everything remains correct in Due Today. After the second sync with Toodledo the task status remains delegated but the team member disappears from the task, team icon no longer in list, and task is no longer under name in Team list. In Toodledo the task shows the status as Delegated.

I´ve just started using the app in Win and Android with Toodledo sync and found the same problem with the assignments. They are kept in win client but lost when received in Android (lost the teammember and the task assignment).
Maybe the last version?

By the way, I´ve tried to solve the problem by syncing with DueToday instead of Toodledo and the result in windows client is terrible: several crashes per minute, never ending. Impossible to use in windows client.
