Hello,

I received the following error the other day when trying to sync from Windows.

"The following error was encountered while trying to sync: A context with that name already exists"

I sent an email to support the other day but I didn't get a response. I thought about using the DT sync, but then I won't be able to view my tasks online without the application correct?

I tried uninstalling and re syncing with no avail. I logged into Toodledo but didn't see anything I could change.

Try Settings-->Sync Settings--> Button Reset Sync Data--> OK en try syncing again.

Thanks for the reply Peter. Resetting the sync data didn't work, and removing / re-installing didn't work. On one of my computers (Windows 7) it is still an open issue.

When I installed Due Today on a new computer, I didn't have the Sync issue.

I'm not sure why the error message is displaying on my other computer. I haven't looked to see if there are registry keys or old metadata from Due Today which isn't being removed on uninstall.

Interestingly enough it looks like this is an JSON API issue with ToodleDo. I found the following link and if you follow the flow chart at the end you will see the same error message.

It is error code 5. Hopefully the dev will read into this, but with the ability to sync with the Due Today servers it may not be resolved.
