To summarize,

With the light theme,
- lists to choose from in edit mode (tags for instance)
- lists in preferences (task editor options for instance)
both first appear black text on black background, switch to white backgound when touching the screen, then black on black again...

With the dark theme
All text edit boxes are black text on black background

So neither theme is actually usable without considerable hassle.
i find myslef switching from one theme to another every other hour, sometimes every other minute!

You promised a fix "within two hours", that was almost two days ago now...

I don't want to sound harsh, but this needs an urgent fix since it really breaks the usability of the software!

Thanks for the fix, Chris.

The dark theme is usable again. :)

Any plans to fix the adding tags or projects in edit mode issue? I'm missing it big time.

Unfortunately there are still some clolor bugs: with dark theme the search text field is (still) shown with black text on black background (not useable) and with light theme the sync icon is shown grey on white (almost not visible). Could you please fix this?

@Wizzu: Yes, I'm fixing that right now.

@Stef: I'm also correcting those.

I have an opinion question: right now in the task summary screen the upper bar is always the standard holo blue. What would you think if I changed that to match the task's priority? I was thinking about that after testing the standard ICS calendar where the background matches the calendar's color that the appointment belongs to. I've already corrected the link color so that it will be underlined but be white otherwise (again, just like the calendar app).

How about another approach. Keep the background the same as the theme but add the priority colour to the text instead. Sometimes I find the colour combos a little too visually noisy while not conveying much information.

So, you mean to leave the background as white or black (to blend in with the rest of the screen) and just change the text? That could work, too.

But is that readable: black on red i.e. ?

That would be red text on a white or black background. The current priority colours look okay so the text should be fine.

I'm also working on allowing for customizable priority colors (a very overdue feature). That might help with the readability, too.

One more thanks for fixing light theme's font problem ;)

Sorry if I'm repeating someone's post, but I've noticed one more problem with text and background - the text is invisible in the "task notes" field (in each task) when editing mode is turned on. Thats in portrait mode only - in landscape mode it visible.

Was this fixed in my update on the 11th? My testing shows that it should be but I just want to be sure.
