Recently my smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4 mini loaded and installed an OS update (of course, after I confirmed this). It went from Android 4.2 to Android 4.4.2. I did not change anything in the Due Today app.

I need to mention that I synchronize Due Today with my ToodleDo account.

But since that update, from time to time I get a synchronization error message popping up saying:

Invaild username or password step

Connecting to sync server

But the strange thing is that, firstly, my login data are correct and, secondly, when I open the app and sync manually I can synchronize with ToodleDo just fine. No error message and synchronization works.

What could this be due to? How can I fix it?

The problem is partially with Due Today and partially with ToodleDo. ToodleDo just recently updated their API about the same time that Android 4.4.2 came out. I'm working on updating Due Today's source to use their new API. A part of that is that Due Today will no longer be sending your username/password across the Internet. Instead it will use an OAuth system, similar to how Twitter works. That means Due Today will have no knowledge of your account details. You just log in via ToodleDo's site and it will send a token for Due Today to use.

That's coming in the next release, which will hopefully be completed by the end of this week.
