I don't often do this, and it's not a serious bug, but if I long-press to select a task, press the menu in the bottom right, and select "promote to project", nothing initially appears to happen. If I exit the current view (I've only noticed it when viewing a project), then the task has clearly turned into a project, and re-enterinng the view, it no longer appears as a task.

I don't know if it's all related but I've noticed something similar. When you remove a project from the dropdown list by selecting "no" in the "Show in Pinned Dropdown" field, it takes backing out of Due Today and re-entering before the dropdown is updated. Similar to Gerardlt's issue, the project is removed from the dropdown but not until you re-enter the app in this case.
