I'm using 1.7.9 on my laptop and it crashes every time I first boot the laptop without fail.  It will also crash multiple times a day, any chance on a new update soon to solve issue?  OS is Windows 8.

Andy, just wanted to let you know that I have what sounds like a similar issue with Win 7.  From what Chris the developer is saying it looks like a fix is in the works and will hopefully be available soon.

Hello, mine uses around 50% of computer processor and crashes. When it doesn't crash, it slows the computer to the very limit of patience. Now, it wouldn't even open.

After spending too much time with this I switched the sync from Toodledo to Due Today Sync. The trouble no longer occurs. Make a good backup/archive of your data first. I struggled a bit with duplicates and data issues syncing with multiple devices after the switch. I never really used Toodledo's features (or website) so this will work okay for me. I hesitated moving to Due Today Sync because of issues with duplicates when the option first appeared. Seems to be okay now although only a few days of experience.

I'm sorry about my absence from the forums. I'll take a look into the ToodleDo sync code and see what I can do. However, I made some changes in the 1.8 series that I'm hoping correct any issues with the ToodleDo portion of the code.
