I had read in the previous forum that we were to expect a new version of the windows software soon - is that still in the works? Or are you focusing on a web ui?

I had meant to release it last week, so you're not mistaken. However I did myself a personal injury, got involved in fixing sync bugs on the Android version and got sidetracked with a hacked forum.

I'm planning a release tonight based on the sync changes I've made in the Android version. I just need to finish porting them over and we're set to go.

I can't even get my windows version of Due Today to open unless I wait like five minutes. I open it, and nothing happens for a few minutes, then eventually it will open but runs very slowly, and crashed frequently. I'm on a trial, I would really like to buy it, I'm just waiting for the stability and sync issues to to work out.

The desktop version is indeed very slow with opening and closing on my computer. Especially with a lot of projects in it. That makes it slower. Adding a new task doesn't give a problem. But adding or deleting a project, makes the program slowing down for a few minutes. The same with syncing. Also scrolling the projects list is slow.

Awaiting for a new desktop update, I'm back to version 1.1.1 again. And that's really a big relief for me. This version reacts quick as it should be. Maybe it's because I have an old XP-computer.
Anyone with the same problems?

Agreed....VERY SLOW opening, closing and syncing tasks. I now only sync tasks once a day keep the program closed when not in use so it doens't slow my machine down.....and I have a relitivly new machine. I look literally daily for an update and would love to get my hands on an older version that works.

Been a couple of weeks since the planned release. Any update? It's pretty unusable right now. :(

As soon as possible. I was reading through this thread and was trying to fix a task issue and ended up destabilizing the entire app. At this point I know exactly what's going on and why it's not stable. It's the same reason that opening and closing items is so slow. Once I get it stable I'll get it released. Then, I'm going to work on rebuilding it using C# instead of Delphi (Delphi, while nice because it produces native code, is just difficult to track down errors in). Using .NET and C# should give me the same ability to find issues that Java for Android does, allowing me to fix it more quickly.

That update will be free, too.

Using C# I should be able to make it as pretty as now (maybe even prettier). We'll see what happens.

I have a new update of the Windows client coming today. I've got it stabilized now and I've fixed about 60 causes of crashes (I didn't realize it was as bad as it is). I'm definitely porting over to a better framework as most of the crashes are actually in the Delphi code that I didn't write. So, after tonight's version I will be moving the app away from Delphi into C++ or C# (whichever one lets me port to W8 and WP8 more easily). It should be MUCH more stable after that.

I am terribly sorry about the delay.

It's up right now. I'm sorry about the delay. I can only work on it part time (I wish this were my full time job). I'm working towards weekly updates instead of how long it has been taking in between.
