I had Toodledo open in my browser and was updating tasks and moving things around. I then pressed sync on my phone to sync the updates from Toodledo without a problem.

Then I changed the repeat setting on a task on my phone from "every 1 month" to "on the first Sunday" and tried to sync. The first time I synced the task showed up in Toodledo, but without the repeat setting. I synced again and the repeat setting disappeared on my phone. I then set the repeat setting on my phone and resynced. Nothing happened.

At this point I tried creating a test task and tried syncing but nothing changed on Toodledo or my phone. I can no longer get Toodledo and my phone to sync anything.

I've tried deleting my tasks on Toodledo and syncing, clearing the sync settings on my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and all of these in different combinations.

Am I missing something? Has anyone else run into this problem?

I'm running Due Today 2.0.8.150 on android 2.3.4 stock and using a free Toodledo account.

Update:
Before I started messing around trying to get Toodledo and Due Today to work together (as I mentioned above) I made a backup of Toodledo and a backup of Due Today. Since then I've reinstalled Due Today and deleted all my tasks from Toodledo.

When I import my tasks back into Toodledo and enable syncing to a fresh blank reinstall of Due Today, all my tasks sync back down.

When I restore my tasks back into Due Today and enable syncing to a blank Toodledo, none of my restored tasks sync. If I make a new task in Due Today after the restore, that task will sync, but my old ones won't. How can I get my Due Today restore to sync up to Toodledo?

I was finally able to get my tasks back to their original state.

I restored my task backup in Due Today and marked all the tasks with a star. (it could have been any modification to the tasks(date, priority, etc.)) This made these tasks appear as "updated" for syncing with Toodledo. After a successful sync, I de-starred all of my tasks and things are good now.

Chris, could a change be made that marks restored tasks as "updated" so that they will be synced with Toodledo? Currently it seems that restored tasks won't sync unless they are modified after the restore.

I'm not sure why this would be occurring. I have to send the repeat data to ToodleDo because they're handling the repeat status. I'll have to double-check that.

As for the restore, yes, I can fix that up. The reason why they're not syncing without being modified is that the "dirty" flags are being restored, too. I'll modify the code so that it will reset those flags after you've restored a backup.

Can you double-check the repeating sync again? On my end it's syncing fine, but I would like to know if it's still occurring for you.

After resetting my tasks and getting everything in sync, I'm able to successfully sync repeat statuses back and forth without any noticeable problems. Thanks!

As for the restore, yes, I can fix that up. The reason why they're not syncing without being modified is that the "dirty" flags are being restored, too. I'll modify the code so that it will reset those flags after you've restored a backup.

 

I recently performed a full restore into Due Today and tried to get it to sync to Toodledo. I still had to modify the tasks to get them to sync to Toodledo. Has the code change you mentioned been put in yet? I'm using Due Today 2.0.10.156.
